Take Action

Here are 3 ways you can take action to push the U.S. to respect Gayogo̱hó:nǫˀ self-determination and heed the removal of Halftown as a representative of Cayuga Nation.

• Read and share articles covering the situation. Check out our FAQ for a place to start or Learn More for more in-depth materials.
• Use and follow #HalftownMustGo on social media.
• Use your community spaces or events to help spread information. Print and distribute materials covering the issue, or invite HalftownMustGo organizers and/or Gayogo̱hó:nǫˀ people to speak and spread information at events you're hosting.
• Make and share materials with the message "Halftown Must Go: His Clanmother Said So" or "Honor the Two Row." In the past, people have made pins, t-shirts, and yard signs.
• If you live around Cayuga Lake, show up to public events and ask organizers how to get more involved.

If you are organizing your own fundraiser within your community, please contribute any consolidated funds collected to one of the above fundraisers, rather than starting a new online platform for collecting funds.
